About the Captain
Captain
Tim Drummond’s passion for fishing and the Great Outdoors began in the early
1960’s as a boy in his hometown of Deerfield Beach, Florida. Tim fished
with his father from the age of 5, and by the time he reached Junior High School,
it was evident that fishing would be a determining factor in the rest of his life.
During his school years and after, while earning a living as a carpenter, the
avid angler spent countless hours fishing the piers, bridges, inlets, beaches,
canals and offshore waters of Florida’s east coast, from the Florida Keys
to Sebastian Inlet. Catching everything from Largemouth Bass reaching 10 pounds
and giant Snook inshore, to Sailfish and even White and Blue Marlin offshore,
he just couldn’t get enough.
In 1992 he moved to St. Petersburg, Florida for the great diversity of fishing
opportunities that Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico have to offer. Tim took to
the West Coast of Florida “like a fish to water” and by 1997 he had
logged hundreds of days fishing Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and earned his
U.S.C.G. Charter Captain’s license. Capt. Tim has been a full time fishing
guide ever since, guiding anglers of all skill levels to great catches while passing
along proven techniques both old and new. Also to his credit, Captain Tim has
won many local tournaments as an angler and guided clients to tournament wins
as well. |
