Charter Description
Fine Line Light Tackle Charters welcomes anglers of all skill levels, from seasoned experts, to first timers, and families with children. Capt. Tim works well with kids of all ages and watching them catch fish is guaranteed to make your day. Although catch and release is encouraged, Capt. Tim is happy to fillet, bag and ice any fish you wish to eat, within legal limits of course. What to Bring
Pickup PointsWith pick up points from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs, it’s never a long boat ride to where the hot bite is. Though most charters are run out of the Gulfport Municipal Marina in Gulfport, pick-up can also be arranged at Maximo Park or O’Neill’s Marina in South St. Petersburg, Seminole Boat Ramp in Clearwater, and the Gandy Boat Ramp in Tampa. If your hotel has a dock, pickup can also be arranged there. |
Capt.
Tim’s Custom built 20’ Aquasport bay boat safely accommodates up to
4 anglers in comfort and is fully USCG safety equipped. She is powered by a Suzuki
140hp four stroke engine and a Minn Kota 74lb.Thrust Riptide troll motor. She
has 2 huge live bait/release wells and is totally outfitted with all rods, reels,
tackle, lures, bait and 2 fully iced coolers. Electronic equipment includes an
Eagle color depth/fish finder, GPS, VHF radio and cell phone. From Sea Trout to
huge Tarpon and Sharks, this beauty does it all.
Using
live bait and artificial lures, Capt. Tim specializes in light tackle and fly
fishing for Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, Cobia and other inshore species along the
mangrove shorelines and shallow grass flats from Tampa Bay to Clearwater. Capt.
Tim is equally at home on the open waters of Tampa Bay and near shore Gulf of
Mexico, where you’ll catch Tarpon, Grouper, Snapper, King and Spanish Mackerel,
Permit and more. Night trips are also available for Snook, Seatrout, Redfish and
Tarpon around residential dock lights and area bridges.
Recommended
items include food and drinks of your choice (alcohol in moderation), hats, soft
soled shoes, sun block, sunglasses (polarized if possible) and a camera. A light
rain jacket is also a good idea as early morning runs can sometimes be quite cool.
If you prefer to use your own favorite rod, bring it along and Capt. Tim will
